Alicia Silverstone is the daughter of Monty Silverstone (father) and Deidre R. Radford. She was born in Hillsborough on 4 October 1976. They share half-siblings from her father's previous marriage. The typical upper-middle class upbringing and grew up within San Francisco. In her early years, at six she started modeling, and was later the lead in her debut television ad for Domino's Pizza. Silverstone was educated at Crocker Middle School in San Mateo and San Mateo High Schools. Silverstone played her debut credited role on The Wonder Years in 1992. Critics and the audience praised her for the role, which she was awarded. Aerosmith's Cryin video and Amazing were both released in 1993. She appeared in television films like Torch Song and Scattered Dreams in 1993. In 1994, she played a leading role in the drama television series Cool and the Crazy.
