Raul Alejandro Olasio , also known as Ruiz, was born on January 10, 1993. He is also known as Rauw Alejandro. He is referred to as "the King of Contemporary Reggaeton"[2][3] and belongs to "the new generation" of Puerto Rican urban artists. The album he released his debut, Afrodisiaco (studio album) was released in November 2020. The album that followed, Vice Versa, released in June 2021 and featured the lead single "Todo de Ti". Two Latin Grammy Awards have been taken home by him from 12 nominations. Raul Alejandro Ruiz the Latin Grammy Award winner was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 10, 1993. He also grew up in Canovanas, and Carolina. His father, guitarist Raul Ocasio Ruiz, as well as his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz (backing vocalist) introduced him to many of his musical inspirations such as Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and Chris Brown. Alejandro and his dad lived for a long time in the United States. They mainly resided in New York City and Miami. Alejandro and Anuel A.A., a friend of his Puerto Rican rapper are childhood friendships. They went to the same school together and shared classes. [9][10] Alejandro was a talented dancer when he was a kid and participated in talent shows. He went to the University of Puerto Rico after graduation from high school. He played soccer between six and twenty. However, he eventually left after stating that he couldn't perform the way he expected. He eventually moved to Orlando to see if he could be considered by the Premier Development League (PDL). Rauw Alejandro's music style is Latin R&B and reggaeton. He also enjoys songs that are rhythmic and ballads. Billboard stated that it has been instrumental in helping "set him aside from a growing category of reggaetones who lean towards pop". Presley and Jackson had a profound influence on him in the beginning before being and then Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee and Chris Brown. [24He also cites Ciara as a musical influencer.
