Anna was forced to learn a new way of living in the absence of her mom. This is an extremely painful moment for every child. But her father Jim was a great source of support and someone was very close to her. Jim Rawson was a former footballer in Glenelg and the two were both passionate about golf. Anna stated that after her mom died, the only reason she began golfing was so that she could be closer to her dad and brother. She soon realized that it was a sport she truly liked. Anna turned to golf for the purpose of dealing in the aftermath of losing her mom. It improved her ability and she soon made it the focus of her career. It's a wonderful dream! Rawson finished her education at home following her attendance at St. Martin Boarding School. Anna Rawson is the first person to acknowledge that her choice of school was more because of naivete than logic. Anna was offered scholarships from prestigious colleges such as Yale and Harvard however she was eventually accepted by Immanuel College in Southern Australia because the weather wasn't as poor. In the wake of her trip towards Immanuel college Anna went and studied in The University of Southern California where she was awarded the All-Pac 10 honorable mention on three separate occasions.
