The singer began to play around with themes and songs when her popularity grew. The uniqueness of her voice and singing ability earned her critical acclaim and a number of prestigious awards. She was awarded the Grammy Award is her most prestigious recognition. In addition, she has appeared on television and films. She has also written the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with numerous charities.
